Scope of works Executed
MUYANJA ABASI CONSTRUCTION LIMITED executed the central electrical and earthing installation for a commercial poultry production building in Mukono District. Agricultural livestock housing requires moisture-resistant enclosures, balanced three-phase load distribution, and low-resistance earthing to protect ventilation and lighting circuits during storms.
Technical Breakdown
- Supply and Main Isolation: Installed the external weatherproof meter enclosure and 10mm four-core armoured supply cable feeding a three-phase 150A main isolator and distribution assembly.
- Earthing and Lightning Protection: Drove copper earth electrodes with inspection chambers and bonded air terminals along the roof ridge to protect the steel roof and control gear against lightning surges.
- Power and Lighting Circuits: Installed 1.5mm to 2.5mm armoured and three-core flexible cables in heavy-duty PVC conduit, switching contactors, industrial couplers, internal pendant sets, and perimeter flood lights.
- Testing and Handover: Completed insulation resistance, earth loop impedance, and phase-balance verification prior to energisation.
